About the Awards
The Singapore Golden Singa Awards will take place on November 2026. With 20 award categories and audience voting, the event celebrates Chinese-language filmmakers from various angles. Through open submissions and special invitations, it aims to become a leading film event in the Asia-Pacific region within five years.
Eligibility Criteria
Chinese-language films over 60 minutes that premiered in theaters or on streaming platforms between June 1, 2025, and May 31, 2026, are eligible. At least 50% of the dialogue must be in Chinese (including dialects or sign language). Submissions open on June 1 and close on July 15, 2026.
Submission Period
The Golden Singa Awards follow a fair and transparent selection process. From June 2026, films can be submitted openly or by invitation. In July, a jury of filmmakers, industry experts, and scholars will be formed. A shortlist will be announced in October after preliminary review. In November, final judging will determine the winners based on artistic quality and innovation.
